How We Verify Authenticity
We take the integrity of our data seriously. Every poll response on ThoughtCove passes through multiple layers of verification designed to ensure that what you see reflects genuine human opinion — not bots, not brigading, not coordinated campaigns.
Our verification stack includes browser fingerprinting to detect duplicate devices, reCAPTCHA v3 scoring to identify automated behavior, timing analysis to flag submissions that happen too fast to be human, and duplicate IP detection to catch coordinated vote manipulation. Every poll displays an Authenticity Report showing response counts, unique device counts, average time spent, and a calculated Trust Score — so you can evaluate the data yourself.
We don't claim our polls are scientific samples. They are self-selected, online, and open to anyone. But we do claim that every response you see is a real one.
